Uniform

Please see below details regarding uniform requirements. Uniforms can be purchased via the Qkr! App or via the front office.

Uniform Policy 

Wearing correct school uniform is compulsory, and the school stocks all items of the approved school uniform, except shoes and sports shoes, at minimum possible prices. There is also a pool of good second-hand uniform items available. 

If for some reason a student is not in uniform on a particular day, a note of explanation is required.

Dates of changes for summer/winter uniforms is determined and communicated by the Principal, taking into consideration seasonal factors. 

All items of clothing are to be clearly labelled with the students’ name and shirts should be kept tucked in. If students are in public places while in school uniform the full, correct uniform must be worn.

Hats

Hats must be worn in Term 1 and 4 before school when playing outside, at recess, lunch, on excursions, after school and at school sports events and training. Children who forget their hats are asked to play in the shaded area.

Hats must be purchased from the school, and must be bucket or legionnaire style with the school logo. 

Shoes 

Prep - Grade 6 boys and girls wear black school shoes with their uniform. Sports shoes must be worn on PE days and by Kindergarten students. Please refer to the below for appropriate school shoes:

Jewellery/Personal Appearance/Hair 

No decorative jewellery is allowed. A signet ring and/or watch and/or necklace with a crucifix may be worn. Students with pierced ears are to wear plain studs or sleepers.

Nail polish and cosmetics may not be worn at school. Hair should be kept neat and tidy and extreme hair colours and/or styles are not permitted. Hair longer than shoulder length should be tied back with ties in school colours. Clips should be plain and in school colours.

HATS

• Hats must be plain dark blue bucket hat or legionnaire with the St Peter Chanel logo.
• Both types of hats may be purchased from the school uniform shop.

KINDERGARTEN

Kindergarten students wear their sports uniform each Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Girls

• School Jumper
• Dress - Blue and White Pattern
• Skort Navy Blue (New in 2018)
• Shirt – Sky Blue. Short Sleeved. Worn untucked (New in 2018)
• Socks - Light Blue
• Shoes - Black (able to be polished – refer to “Example of Girls School Shoes” document)

Boys

• School Jumper
• Shirt – Sky Blue. Short Sleeved. Worn untucked
• Shorts – Dark Grey
• Socks – short and grey
• Shoes – Black (able to be polished – refer to “Example of Boys School Shoes” document)

WINTER UNIFORM

Girls

• School Jumper
• Shirt – Sky Blue.  Long Sleeved.
• Tunic – Blue Plaid (compulsory item for girls in Prep to Grade 2)
• Stockings – Dark Blue
• Trousers – Dark Blue (New in 2018)
• Shoes - Black (able to be polished – refer to “Example of Girls School Shoes” document)

Boys

• School Jumper
• Shirt – Sky Blue.  Long Sleeves
• Trousers – Dark Grey.  Neat style
• Socks – Grey
• Shoes – Black (able to be polished – refer to “Example of Boys School Shoes” document)

• Spray jacket
• Shell jacket (New in 2018)
• Blue scarf
• Blue beanie
• Blue gloves
• Yellow, white, blue or neutral coloured hair accessories such as scrunchies, ribbons and clips.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION UNIFORM  

Girls and Boys

• School Rugby Top & or Shell Jacket
• School Track pants
• Polo Shirt – Navy blue with School Logo. (Year Six-personalised Polo Shirt)
• Shorts – Unisex.  Navy Blue.
• Socks – Plain White or Black (no motifs or patterns)
• Sneakers

All jumpers, hats and uniform items must be clearly named so that mislaid clothing can be quickly returned to the owner.
