From the Principal
As we come to the end of another extraordinary year, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone for your unwavering support of our school. It is through the collective effort and support of our incredible community that we have been able to create a nurturing and enriching environment for our students.
I would like to extend sincerest thanks to our School Board. Their local knowledge, expertise, and invaluable contacts have been instrumental in supporting our school in countless ways. Their commitment to our mission and support of me as the Principal is greatly appreciated.
I would also like to express my deepest appreciation to our incredible P&F and volunteers. Their willingness to give so generously of their time and energy makes a difference. I know that not everyone can make it to meetings, but the support in other ways, such as the Bake Raffle and the events that have been organised are testament to the commitment to our school by so many.
I want to acknowledge the outstanding efforts of our exceptional staff. Each day, I am reminded of how truly blessed I am to work alongside such passionate and committed colleagues. The deep compassion, generosity, and care that our staff members demonstrate is awe-inspiring. Their unwavering dedication to providing our students with the best education possible is commendable.
Our amazing students have made us immensely proud this year. It has been a year full of accomplishments and personal growth, and we applaud each and every student for their efforts.
It is always difficult to bid farewell to staff members, and this year is certainly no different. We farewell some much-loved staff members: Andrea Rutter, Montana Bradley, Lauren Workman, and Rebecca Britton. Their contributions to our school community will be remembered, and we wish them all the best as you embark on new journeys. We also say a last-minute farewell to Anna Hart, who has made the difficult decision to move her family to Burnie for school and work. With Lilly going to Marist Regional College next year, Anna and Chayse will be joining the Stella Maris community. Although we are saddened by her departure, we are excited for Anna and her family as they begin a new chapter in their lives.
Lastly, to our Year Six students, as they prepare to begin the next stage of their educational journey, I wish them all the very best. You have been an incredible group of students, and we are confident that you will excel in all your future endeavours. Please know that as you leave St Peter Chanel Primary School, you will always hold a special place in our hearts, and we hope you look back on your primary school years with fond memories and a smile.
As we enter the Christmas season, I want to wish you a holy and joyous celebration. May this festive season be a time of love, peace, and happiness for all. I look forward to seeing you all again in 2024 as we embark on another exciting year of teaching and learning.
With gratitude and warmest wishes,
Kerrie
