From the Principal

Welcome to Term 3.  This term has several activities taking place across the school - Matilda, camps, Book Week, CHAC activities, Digital Technology days, Winter Sports, Bravehearts, Catholic Education Week, and NED’s Mindset presentation.  All of that, in addition to our usual business with learning and teaching in the classroom!

Recently, you will have received an invitation to complete a survey about various aspects of St Peter Chanel. It would be so appreciated if you could complete this survey.

Many parents will recollect completing a similar survey only 2 years ago when Christina Gretton was the Principal, so may feel that they don’t need to do it again.  The reason for that survey was for goal setting for the 3 year strategic plan. I encourage you to complete this current version.  The comparisons will show what we are continuing to do well, what may have improved, and what we need to continue working towards.

This survey is for the purpose of Validation that every Catholic school undergoes, every four years. Validation is a process of a panel visiting the school later in the year to see how we are going.  It involves a presentation from me, discussions with teachers and students and an analysis of the survey results. I am really looking forward to highlighting the many great facets of our school and school community.
