Parents and Friends

Parent Involvement

Our school provides quality education that supports parents in their role as the prime educators of their children. Parents are invited to be actively involved in assisting in classroom activities and all aspects of school community life from Kindergarten through to Grade 6.

Parents and Friends

All Parents and Friends are invited to attend P&F meetings.  These provide opportunity to meet with the Principal to become informed and involved in the the school community. Meeting dates and times are advertised in the weekly school newsletter, Facebook and on this website in 'Calendar of Events'.  All are welcome to attend at any time.

The Parents and Friends members are active in fundraising to assist in meeting the needs of the students and school.

Volunteer Police Checks

It is important for us to remind families that anyone wishing to help out within school or at school activities, is required to obtain a Working with Vulnerable People/Children Check. These are required by all volunteers helping out, even those that will just be helping their own child/ren. As of October 2015, anyone wishing to volunteer must have completed this check.

To apply for a Working with Children Check please go to:

http://www.justice.tas.gov.au/working_with_children. If you do not have internet access at home to register, please feel free to come into school to do this.

The WWCC is valid for three years. There is a small cost of approximately $18.00 which is to be paid at Service Tasmania when finalising your WWCC. Frequent on-going volunteers at our school are able to have this cost reimbursed at our expense.

For any further questions please refer to the Department of Justice website as above or contact the school office.
